category for our company. With this article we want to see which categories of
the Facebook page are available and which features differentiate them from each
other.
Facebook page category
As can be
seen from the following image, there are 6 categories available:

business or place;
• Company,
organization or institution;
• Brand or
product;
• Artist,
band or public figure;
•
Entertainment;
• Cause or
community.
Each of
these categories gives the possibility to insert different information on the
page.
For a
company page the most indicated categories are the first 3 and we will see

Brand or products
This
category of the Facebook page is mainly aimed at big brands or famous
commercial products and it is possible to insert only a short description and a
link to the website.
Company, organization or institution
This
category is aimed at companies in general and allows you to enter a greater
number of company information and contact details: short description, website,
email, telephone and address. It also gives you the opportunity to register
(check-in) to let your contacts know that you are there at that time.
Local
business or location
The latter
category is mainly aimed at commercial activities, shops and public places. In
addition to the information available for the "Company, organization or
institution" category, it gives the possibility of inserting a map with
the position and gives users the possibility to insert a review on the local
company.
Other Facebook page settings
In order to
create a page that is effective from a communicative point of view, choosing
the correct category is essential. In addition to this, however, there are many
